1. Based on the chart, develop a brochure or infographic that explains to a family/caregiver, how you
plan to implement collaboration and communicate with the family. This does not have to be 27
different ways – you select how this will benefit your learners and parents. (Explain to families how you
plan to implement collaboration and communication (school to home & how the home can collaborate
with the school)
2. Include in the infographic/brochure how the family can help in supporting the child’s success
3. Some examples may include weekly classroom newsletters, ClassDojo, etc ***Avoid the following:
(i.e. the teacher will communicate with parents via….) In other words, “YOU” are the teacher, and you
are telling the family how “you” will engage with them…
4. This is a brochure/infographic, so it is a flexible assignment. Use your brainstorming and creativity to
express your unique ideas. There is no “cookie-cut” template for you to follow. The ideas provided are
only ideas for how to structure your own. You do not necessarily need to list (27) ways.
5. Please make sure the brochure/infographic is readable in software that is normally accessible – MS
Word, PDF, etc.
6. Review the rubric to ensure that your work focuses on:
*comprehensive description of the activities
*clear and specific connections between activity, learners and Universal Design for Learning
*specific description of how the activity will be administered and assessed.
