BUL 3130 University of Central Florida The Big Cat Public Safety Act Discussion This discussion post is about the proposed Big Cat Public Safety Act, a piece of federal legislation that is currently pending before the Congress of the United States. Among other things, this bill would prohibit the sale, possession, and breeding of big cats, such as tigers, lions, and leopards. (At the same time, the bill exempts certain wildlife sanctuaries like Carole Baskin’s Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, Florida.)
