Each student is required to create a video presentation lasting between 8 to 12 minutes
and upload it to YouTube.
Please adhere to the time limit (marks will be deducted for presentations that
are too short or too long).
Any video recording device with sound can be used (cell phones, webcams, GoPro
cameras, etc.)
PowerPoint voiceovers are acceptable as well.
PowerPoint is optional and not necessary (be creative with your presentations!)

Visuals are always helpful (if you choose to show a video during your
presentation, it must be no more than 2 minutes in length).
Presentation videos will be shown in class at the instructor’s discretion and will be
interwoven into lectures.
You must keep the YouTube link active for the entire duration of the summer
2020 semester (students may receive a “O” grade for their entire presentation if
they video is deactivated early).
You are welcome to make you video private so it is unsearchable and cannot be
viewed by anyone who is not given the specific hyperlink.

The handout must be saved and submitted in .doc or .docx format
Do not submit it in any other file format
Each student is required to submit a handout that summarizes and highlights the main
points from their presentation.
A handout is NOT an outline and needs to include information that students
should retain from the presentation.
The handout can be done in point form and should be 1 to 2 pages long.
If PowerPoint was used, the handout CANNOT be a direct copy of the
information presented in the slides (doing so will result in a significant loss of
marks).
A bibliography of sources used must also be included in the handout.
Failure to include a bibliography (done in CMS format) will result in an
automatic “O” on the assignment.
o Students are required to consult at least 4 separate sources for this assignment
(Wikipedia is NOT accepted as a source).
The handout MUST include the YouTube link to your presentation.
It should appear at the top of the first page of your handout.
The handout will be posted on Canvas by the instructor for all students to access after
the presentation.
Include your full name (as it appears on My AC and Canvas), but do not include
your student number.
