The purpose of the research paper is to develop a detailed literature review that situates your thinking about educational theory with a focus on the development of one or more significant research questions.
Ideally, a good research question may seem very simple, but its formulation should draw on the course materials and on further research that you undertake independently.

Your research paper will demonstrate to the reader how you have considered a specific educational problem from a number of perspectives and arrived at a clear question.
You should demonstrate in your literature review how you have thoroughly investigated the way that educational scholars have considered problems that are similar to the one that you have identified.
