The goal is to provide a brief overview of the texts with an eye toward critique. Aim
to contextualize the readings, put them in conversation with one another and define terms in your
own words. What ideas did the readings provoke for you? What did you learn? What questions come
to mind? What did the readings not consider? How can you use these readings for your final papers?
NOTE: References should indicate the page number and author cited, but a formal bibliography is
not necessary.
