Ashford University Carrie Nation Challenges Views of Women Questions How did Carrie Nation challenge views of women? How did American society react?

In preparing your answer, think about the following questions: Consider how gender norms changed over this particular time period for Module Three. Did Carrie Nation fit into these norms or did she challenge them? Is she representative of the time? (You do not need to answer all of these questions, but if you need some direction, these are a good place to start.)

Have a specific thesis.

Begin with an introduction, where the final sentence is one statement of the thesis, and end with a conclusion, where the final sentence is a different version of the thesis.

If you quote from or refer to a book or primary source, you must note it by giving the author and page number.
Pick the most concise word possible; instead of “He went out,” choose “He left.” Yes, that old cliché holds true: the adjective and the adverb are the enemy of the noun and verb.
Underline or italicize book titles.
Underline or italicize foreign words.
Use a spell-checker or dictionary and proofread; computers don’t get anything, and, believe it or not, I’ve even found spelling mistakes in the MSWord dictionary. Carelessness and misspelling will “count off.”
Be consistent in choosing a format for those areas where there is a choice; for example, if you underline a title once, don’t italicize it the next time you use it. Inconsistency makes it look like you don’t know what you’re doing.

I NEED THIS BY THE END OF THE DAY JULY 2nd EASTERN STANDARD TIME!!!!!!
