The survey, in this case, is about the facial recognition technology where almost half of
the adults in the US trust that it is the right move for the government to use the technology. The
sample size that is used in this poll is 4,272 adults in the US. The sample has all people from all
walks of lives. The adults of ages 18 and above have been included in the poll. Also, there were
people from all walks of lives, including blacks, whites, and Hispanics who participated in the
survey. The poll included both republicans and democrats.
The purpose of this poll was to ascertain the approval rates of the public for the use of
facial recognition technology in the US by the government. Most of the citizens of the US have
heard about facial recognition technology and the use of the same by various entities. Several
entities are interested in the use of technology. Private companies, like technology companies
and advertisers, have been accused of using technology. The survey investigates the confidence
of all people in the country from all race, ethnicity, and ages. The poll was to find out from the
public from all demographics as to whether they accept the use of facial recognition technology
by the law enforcement agencies in the country. It is also to finds out the attitudes of all people
from various political sides of the country (Smith, 2019). The poll also was to find out whether
the public had any knowledge about the survey and if so the amount of information they know
about the technology. It was also to find out the trust of the public in law enforcement and
whether they trust law enforcement to use the technology.
