Role of Women as Portrayed in the Bible Annotated Bibliography Basically this is a rewrite of my work. 4 annotations for 4 separate sources that you need to find on your own. And 1 proposal of the research project. I have a research question and my reasons choosing this topic in the attachment. There is also a sample of annotation I wrote for one of the sources I’m going to use in the proposal. The annotations can be very simple, just like the sample. The sources you find must support the research question I have. The proposal is also a short one, 250-300 words (2 paragraphs). You just need to simply explain the topic question, and how you are going to use your sources to support your topic if you are writing a real research paper. From a historical and religious dimension, what role does the Bible portray of the
women?
Reason for the question
The primary reason for the selection of this question is based on the idea that
the Bible through the Old and New testaments portrays women in different ways. For
instances, since creation, Eve is seen as the cause of the fall of man from the glory of
God. Also, the Old Testament has provided a variety of characters who acted as the
ultimate downfall of the male counterparts, like seen in the story of Samson and
Delilah. However, regardless of this perception, the New Testament accounts for the
transformation of women who later become ambassadors of Christ-like seen in the
case of Mary Magdalene. The New Testament portrays women as superior beings
who exhibit a high level of motivation and full of inspiration to the community.

This book provides an insight into the roles which women in the Bible played
in the ancient community. The book draws evidence from the new and old testaments
of the Bible, giving an account of the events which occurred in the past. The book
also exposes the audience to a wide range of evidence which shows that the traditional
community disregarded the role of women in society. Also, the creation story has
been used as a tool for increasing level of disregard to women in the community
today. This article is essential in the research since it provides a platform for
evaluating the changing roles of wo0klen according to the New and Old testaments of
the Bible.
