Shared Leadership and Collaboration
As reform has shifted from management processes to accountability for student learning outcomes, school leaders are expected to share leadership responsibilities and authority and develop collaborative decision making.
How can you balance leadership skills, coupled with management skills to maintain a successful organization and to still effectively meet the needs of diverse student populations?
Discussion Question 2:
The use of inquiry-based science is supported by research as is the integration of literacy into science learning. However, both of these approaches often encounter challenges in today’s classrooms. Use the prompts to develop an original post, and respond to the posts of two colleagues.
Discuss the challenges of enacting inquiry-based science in classrooms and schools.
Describe the relationship between literacy and students’ understanding of science. Include ways that literacy strategies may be used in assessing student learning.
