University of South Florida Human Nature and Justice Discussion For this paper, identify what you believe to be true of human nature. What experience(s) have you had that support or give credit to these beliefs? How do these beliefs then influence your attitude or thoughts about the criminal justice system?
Although the majority of these are asking for your opinion, you will be expected to draw upon information from your readings and other linked materials to support your opinion.
Grading will be based on the student’s ability to; 1) identify and explain the issue(s), 2) evaluate arguments for an against one’s stance and 3) express one’s opinion in an academic manner
These writing assignments are to be a minimum of 200 words and no more than 500 words. Failure to meet the minimum word requirement will result in a loss of points. Only portions of the response that are substantively related to the question will count towards the minimum word requirement. Avoid a lengthy introduction/especially rephrasing the question (this is not a term paper – get to the point) and avoid the use of vague open-ended rhetorical questions to pad your response. The instructor can tell when a student is dynamically writing in response to a prompt and when the student is simply filling space.
