ARTINSTITUTES Digital Music Label Discussion 1-2 paragraphs

Topic: Digital Music Label

Analyze the areas of your overall plan that you wish you had addressed more deeply. This can include topics such as intellectual property, the effect of recent political events, the economy, or other factors. Provide a brief overview of how you might strengthen these areas more deeply.

In response to your peers, critique the areas that your peers would have liked to address more deeply. Ask probing questions to help your peers strengthen those areas that need more work.

I included a brief milestone on the digital music label as reference. Running head: IMPLEMENTATION PLAN

IMPLEMENTATION PLAN

Physical and Technological Resources
Implementing a concept is very important for any company. It is a building block towards
making an implementation plan successful. An implementation plan helps in dividing and
breaking each strategy into easily identifiable and definable steps. It assigns the steps to the
necessary individuals or more people and suggests to when each step will end. Implementing a
plan consists of the process of putting plans in their place by creating a strategy and a concept to
achieve the organization’s goals and objectives. In most businesses, the main objective is to
attract and keep customers, improve business performance and increase its sales. The concept
helps describe how the objectives will reach a point of achievement. A company needs an
implementation plan to help them answer specific questions involving the goals and objectives of
a business (PMI, 2019).
The internet changed almost everyone’s daily life. It changed means we receive news,
notices and other important information. It also changed how people consumed music. Back in
the early 1990s the record industry had good sales and made a profit through CDs. German
researchers worked for 12 years to come up with a compressed file with the audio quality of a
CD but could travel faster in optic fiber. In about 10 years to come, technology will influence
music by almost 98%. Physicals may die completely. This includes the use of CDs. There is
going to be an influx of different artist’s music. Also, music artists will have low content and
their sales are not going to be as good as they are now. That is why music industries such as
Music Tech. are working on building a digital music label with various artists to strengthen them
and build a foundation for the future. With a music label, they will have new ways to profit the
music market using new technology and current trends.
Music Tech. is a company with fast growth in the music industry and has a long
term plan to remain in the market for a long time despite the changes in music. The concept
behind their implementation plan is finding new ways to profit in the new music market using
new technology. To achieve this objective the company has strategies that include penetration
pricing which aims at targeting entry into the mass market and premium pricing which aims at
retaining the current market. They have a proposed distribution strategy which is exclusive
distribution. They will use a single outlet for their distribution of the new project music in
different areas. Its effectiveness is high since the product will be high in price and quality. The

communication strategy will involve advertising, reviewing, planning, sales, and trade shows of
the label and new music.
Buildings and facilities are physical resources needed by the company to make the
required project. This helps them with customer recognition and they occasionally have large
numbers of visitors and music artists. They can display the progress of their innovation to the
public and their customers. This will greatly reduce the cost of the project since they do not need
to hire operating grounds since they will use their own. It will improve their operation since the
movement is less and organizing the work schedules is easy. Having this resource is a better
reason being that it will not cost them. Materials and waste are other physical resources in
constructing the new model. They will need materials for them to operate the company has its
distribution of most of the materials used in creating the physical charts with a logo of the label.
However, they will need to order other parts from larger distributors in other regions and
countries. They also need to get rid of the unnecessary parts and paper which are waste. They
can use companies dealing with such waste for mutual benefits. Some companies receive
government support through environment campaigns that offer ways of getting rid of waste
metal for a clean environment.
Recording equipment and machinery are physical resources that a company needs to
make own music. To Music tech, they have the advantage of having their studio that helps them
create the music. Their cost in hiring machinery such as microphones and recording instruments
is not inclusive.
Equipment’s including IT is other physical resources needed in project implementation.
The company needs to have enough and correct equipment for efficient operation. For example,
a computer system linked to other few computers with employee login systems is the necessary
equipment that can measure the attendance of the employees working on the project. The
computers can also help monitor how efficient their plan is working towards their concept.
Computer software using the latest technology can help in the combination of different sounds
and generate new ideas through crowdsourcing. They can get this kind of equipment from
companies such as Apple who are well known for reliable equipment. To avoid distraction and
bleaching the company needs security. The company can decide to employ full-time security or
use CCTV cameras with alarms. Using cameras is more efficient and reliable (Davies, 2020).

The company will also need to use technological resources which can be in the form of
software. For example, there is a need for intellectual property. These rights approve people who
have their views heard about what they think about the project and the product and how they can
help to improve it. They sometimes also get feedback. Intellectual property has different designs.
For example, the drawings guide in decorations of the product which is the logo for the label and
features it might include. Music Tech will use intellectual property to allow stakeholders and
investors to air their ideas. This might help in improving the music which in hand will improve
its operations and sales to the market. Accumulated experience and skills are technological
resources related to experience gained over the years of working by innovators and investors.
They can look for situations that are difficult they had been in and how they can help in
improving the newly created label and the project. Music Tech. will make use of staff that they
already ad as long as they are still effective and portray effort in making the implementation
successful while working with the newly included artists.
For an implementation to be successful there is a need for an implementation schedule
that covers what needs doing, when and by whom. Task one of the implementation of the project
by Music Tech. involves project initiation and planning. Project initiation meetings must occur to
inform the investors, proposer team members, and the stakeholders that the implementation of
the idea is to start and a shared understanding of roles layout. They agree on dates and times for
the project kick-off meeting after completion of the plan. The person in charge of the project will
finalize the meetings by discussing the kick-off presentations and answer any questions related to
the plan. They will include implementation of strategies including interface, phases, and data or
sound conversion where necessary. The project manager should also present documents that
include the project plan that details how the project concept will remain maintained. With this, a
path for executing the plan will seem clear. In this first planning, other activities involved
include the scope of the plan, cost, and the budget, risk analysis and management plan, the
procurement plan, team membership communication plan, and closure.
In the system, interface and data conversion design there are various activities used for
the implementation of the plan. They involve using functional design documents, developing
data conversion plans, developing interface specifications and coming up with system
architecture and technical design. The task should be in the next phase after planning which is by

both employees and stakeholders. The next step which is by the proposers of the plan is systems
or modes and means of testing the product. They should issue detailed test plans, scripts, and
expected results. Before commencing to getting the new label and music there should be experts’
training on the project. They should offer guides and materials. Before proper implementation,
there is deployment which involves deployment of new models and product support.
Implementation close out represents the last steps the plan is down to work. With such a
schedule there is a path to success since the tasks depend on each other to guarantee success.
The review team will initiate the project review process by setting time with the project
manager. The dates for the review will be by the project review leader and the project manager.
The project review process will help in identifying areas that need more attention to make it
successful. The review will be in three phases. In the initial phase, the project review team
prepares the necessary materials to help the project manager understand the review. Scheduling
meetings will help deliver the project manager’s checklist and questions. In this phase, the
project manager identifies those to participate in the project and their roles. The research phase
has two activities which are documentation review and interview. In the documentation review
activity, the document with the project goes through analysis and makes sure the needed
deliverables are in the required areas. The steps conducted in this phase indicating the success of
the project include creating a document packet from the project documents, informal interview
with PC, team leaders, testing coordinator and performing interview preparations. Other involved
steps are interviewing the PRI by the project members, evaluating the project, analyzing
deliverables of the project against standards ad documenting findings from the review team
during the interviews.
The report phase involves the last processes and reviews to ensure the project stays on
target (Blanco, 2019). The project manager provides a project review that ensures proper
communication between the project manager and the review team. They consider the differences
and come up with the final decisions about what to include. The PRL should determine the status
of the project while the project manager makes recommendations in case the project is a risk.
Conducting follow up reviews is important. There is a distribution of the project review report to
the project manager and the project management office.

There are various entrepreneurship factors when implementing a plan. Mentors are
factors that matter when starting up on a project. They could be investors who will guide and
support the plan without bias. They give honest opinions. It could be an industry expert or a
manager handling his music label. A business plan will help in implementation. It should consist
of detailed concepts, requirements, and materials, roles of every individual, finances, and
strategies. It helps the project to start and run smoothly. The market is also an entrepreneur factor
that will help in plan implementation. Understanding the market and current trends helps in
adaptation to change. It will help project managers to target high market sales for their label. A
good team is also a factor that helps the overall growth of the project. It involves having experts
who have good communication and hardly have errors that could lead to the failure of the
project. Online resources are factors that can help reach out to customers. They are part of the
new technology and have current trends. Through crowdsourcing, the project managers can get
effective information and help with creative input towards the project. They can also sell their
music and make people aware of their labels online.
Those involved in the project need to stay aware that there is a need to protect intangible
assets such as intellectual property (Johnson, 2015). However, it is also important to understand
that protecting intellectual property is not a guarantee of success. There are various ways a
company can protect its intangible assets such as their brads and logos by using computer
passwords, safes and locked cabinets used to store files. Having data backup helps recover lost
information easily. Having patents copyrights and trademarks helps in protecting the brand.
Issuing employment agreements and having confidentiality agreements also help in protecting
intangible assets by stating clearly of accessing the consequences of accessing them without
authority.
