Opportunities and Challenges in a Flattening World Research Paper the book we are using: International Business: Opportunities and Challenges in a Flattening World v1.0

Question:

Globalization – Individual paper assignments are due on Sundays – Day 7 at midnight.

Topic: Globalization – After you have read the literature posted under unit one, the assignment is to write a two (2) page paper discussing controversies related to the topic of globalization. What are the pros and cons of globalization? You must state if you believe we live in a globalized world and what that means. Thomas Friedman has written that the world is flat; in fact the subtitle of our text is “opportunities and challenges in a flattening world”. What does it mean that the world is flat? Do you believe globalization is good or bad? Please support your position with examples and reasons for why you believe the way you do. If you believe globalization is a good thing, explain why. If you believe globalization is a bad thing, explain why. Plus, if you believe America should be self-sufficient or reduce exports to create jobs in America, then provide support for how we will obtain the goods if we cannot trade for them, and what the costs may be.

Show you have read the readings and some additional sources. This does not mean to just quote from all the material, but go beyond that in presenting/discussing the arguments made in each reading. I would like your informed opinions included in the paper.

Specifications:

Additional Research – Demonstrate that you have done additional Internet research on this topic by including three additional cited sources in your paper. By this, I mean three sources beyond the readings I listed in the Course Documents link. Proper citing of these sources in the narrative of your paper is required. Two pages, double spaced, not including Title or References Page, when you have a title page and reference page you should have at least four total pages. When writing two pages, this means the paper should be 600-750 words. As with all papers prepared for this course, content in individual papers is expected to be supported by globally acknowledged, peer-reviewed, refereed research citations and sources. All written submissions should adhere to APA standards for writing, formatting, and citations/references. It is okay to use some of the material you gleaned from your previous discussion questions to provide for this more formal paper. APA 6th Edition Corrected Quick-View Sample Pages
